So we’re going tosurprise her at her live so that she can’t say no. Hello! – Hey! – I know you had plans today but I was wondering if you could assemble me on a Worth It adventure. – I don’t know, I’mpregnant it seems creepy. – We got two co-hosts todayand you have a home gym don’t you? – I do! – Can we start there? – I do like showing it off so yes. – Yeah, let’s go! -[ Kate] I have a rower.( ding) -[ Steven] Whoa. -[ Kate] I have a prance casket. -[ Both] Yay! -[ Kate] I got this nice kettle bell. A pull up bar. -[ Steven] Does your babyworkout with you in here? – Yeah, she likes it.-[ Steven] You’re coming freedom? You’re good to go? – Okay, I guess, yeah. -[ Steven] Alright, there we go Kate. That’s what she does. – I do, I do like that. -[ Steven] I’m not justpunching a pregnant maid. Today on Worth It Lifestyle we’re going to be trying three gyms at three drasticallydifferent price points to find out which one is themost worth it at its price. – You resounded profesh at that. – That’s actually when “youre telling” “Worth It” – Do I say it now? – Well, you can say it now.- Worth it! – Yeah I’ve heard legends of you being pregnant and works out. – Sometimes when I was breastfeeding Flynn I’d wake up a littlebefore five, shoot, work out and then go to work all day. – When you said pump, Ithought you were going to say pump iron. – Oh, two types of pumping. A doubled pump morning.( both laugh) – I will not be pumpinganything other than forces .( Upbeat music) – My name is Tony Callhoun. We’re at AC4 Fitness. We’re a neighborhood gym. We’ve been doing this for about six years. We focus on taking care ofthat which you’ve been given, whether that applies toyour body and your state or whether it applies to the planet. We try to be a little lettuce. Maybe substances like thisflooring or engineering like ReRev which is cardio equipment that produces electricity. We want to be a leader inthat thought in our industry and you know hopefullyour members can take pride in being a part of that pilgrimage. – I like the idea oflike , not only taking care of yourself but thecommunity and countries around the world all at the same time. I’d like to hear more about how the green gear designs. -[ Connor] There’s a lot ofthings that we’ve tried to become the gym particularly light-green. The rubber that you’restanding on is made out of recycled material. This fan that we have is the same as having 36 small supporters around the gym. It’s very vigor efficient. The lockers are made outof recycled textiles. -[ Steven] Functional, clean-living, and it’s recycled. What more can you ask for? – Yeah. – I don’t need golden cupboards. – I don’t know, you’rekind of a idea guy. – A little bit.( laughing) – There’s Eco-Waterdownstairs to make sure that you guys don’t have plastic bottles you can reuse your waterbottle every time you come. -[ Kate] Wow. More than5 3 thousand water bottles and this has only been in for 18 months. I do like that they giveit at area temperature because I’m a room temperature person. -[ Steven] Me more! – Yeah!( bottle clinking) – Now that’s high-pitched pH. So what is this? What’s going on? – This is a treadmill thatdoesn’t plug into the wall to get power, it pushes intothe wall to give power back to the building. So when you’re on it you’rerunning, you’re actually displaying capability like abig generator and the loop is kind of weighted. So it’s a great workout.- Eco-Mill, give power and advantage quadruplets. -[ Connor] What we havehere is the ReRev structure, when you’re on the ellipticalit’s actually grow influence. -[ Steven] So are allof these 10 oval-shapeds displaying capability for the building? -[ Connor] Yes. – Let’s try to get it up there. – Ready to get up? – Okay, yeah, let’s max this thing out.( upbeat music) -[ Kate] We did it! We presented a little powerback while we were here. -[ Ian] These are medical gradation bottoms. You’re frequently knows where to find these guys at a chiropractor’s office. They use heated sea jetsunder the rubber divider now to give you a searing plane massage. – I do like it. -[ Steven] I wonder if you’rebaby is loving it right now.( Kate chuckles) – Well, you gotta try it. – So I exactly lie down? -[ Ian] We’re going to goahead and resume that massage. – Oh, whoa, oh, you know what that …( roars) -[ Laughing) You’re so ticklish.- I don’t know why my laughingstock is so ticklish. – Wow. Steven fact!( everyone chuckles) – That hydro massager. I don’t know what happened, okay. My body. – You even cause the wholeexperience wash over you. – I don’t know if I would do it again. – That is something I can’tget in my own residence gym. – Gym fact! Most gyms sell morememberships than they can actually hold inside the gym. They count on beings notshowing up at the gym. – That’s a real glasshalf empty perspective. – Yeah. We’re going back to LosAngeles and we’re going to meet at Downtown LA for a gym called the, Los Angeles Athletic Club.- Sounds imagination. – It is idea, how’d you are well aware?( Upbeat music) – I’m Cory Hathaway, I’m theassistant general manager of Los Angeles Athletic Club. It’s a 12 fib, 125,000 sq foot equipment. Character of the purpose of theclub when this building was improved was to train Olympic contestants. Our representatives cured bringthe 1932 Olympics to LA. – So, what you’re saying isif I get a membership now I can become an olympian as well. – It’ll clearly get you closer. We showcase a good deal of sports here. Swimming, basketball, squash, racquetball, handball. – If a gym has a basketballcourt, indicate me up.( mocks) -[ Cory] We have two kitties. One right above us isactually the first fund built above grind westof the Mississippi.-[ Kate] That’s so rareto see gyms that have all this history and backstory. Do parties come here alot just to hang out? Like, it feels like there’sso many things you could do. – Some members will joinwith fitness in judgment and then will maybe get sidetrackedby some of the other storeys.( Smooth music) -[ Steven] Want to play some squash? – Um, I don’t know how, but okay.- I don’t either. – Alright. – Oop.- Wait. Wait, it doesn’t go. -[ Kate] Is this really how this ball is?( Upbeat music) Wow! – This is my happy place. This is my favorite one of the purposes of any gym. -[ Kate] This is a rare gym thing. I’ve never seen abasketball law in a gym. Not in Los Angeles -[ Steven] Yeah because there’sjust not enough space in LA. This is crazy, there’sactually area around, there’s padding now forwhen you go in more hard-boiled. This is awesome. -[ Kate] Uh-huh.( upbeat music) Wow! -[ Steven] I know, I’m happy.( Intense music) -[ Kate] Oh, it’s counting my reps for me. What! -[ Steven] Whoa, and it, Oh I find, it say to you how far you go. -[ Kate] What, that’s great. – Want me to do some bench media? – There’s no weights on there. – I know, but it’s still 45 pounds Annie.( Intense music) I’m going to place this away.( tittering) – The last-place flooring of athleticsis what we would call more of the relaxationlocker room, lounge, spa.- This is very classy. Is this a hot tub? -[ Steven] That’s a whirlpool bath! In the cupboard apartment. – That’s crazy. -[ Steven] Ooo.- Wow! – Showers. -[ Kate] Guess I’m going tohave a bathtub know. -[ Steven] What, what is this? It’s like a meadow. Is this a sauna? What is this? -[ Kate] I think so. I feel like you could payfor merely the cupboard office and genuinely get your money’s worth. – Yeah.( Laughing) What, “wheres” we? -[ Kate] I feel like Ientered a secret society.( Smooth music) I probably shouldn’t touchthis trash, it all looks very old. -[ Steven] This is nota locker apartment anymore, this is your home.( Kate mocks) – I make, it’s like 10 timesthe size of my home, right. – That’s it for the LA AC.Next place, New York City. – I don’t see how it canget better, I actually don’t. – We represented it to New York! – Oh, how lovely.( both laugh) – Puddles! Rain! We were just in the LosAngeles Athletic Club. -[ Kate] Uh huh. – It’s pretty great. – It was a golf-club, so ifyou don’t want to workout there’s a good deal of other stuff to do.Gym point! – The text gymnasium comesfrom the Greek word that literally means academy for naked practise. – Oh, that’s more excitingthan I thought it was gonna be. You propel naked in thereand now it’s a party.( Steven chortles) – Alright, so we’re in NewYork because we’re going to the final gym here. It’s called, La Palestra. – That doesn’t sound like a gym at all. – You know how you’repregnant and everything so, – I’m aware. – So I understand thatthere’s like a stress exam so I didn’t want to put you through that. So today, Ill be doing that. – Thank you, that’s nice. – You’re welcome!( Classical Music) -[ Pat] Therefore welcomed La Palestra guys.I’m Pat Manocchia, I’m the founder. This residence is our firstfacility opened in 1994 so this will be our 24 th time here. – Wow.- Yeah. – Congrats.- Thanks. When we improve it, there werereally two industries right there was the medical industryand the fitness business. And they didn’t really get along so well. We’re both trying to do the same thing, which is take care of people. And I concluded, I crave theseresources in one place. So we improved this locate. What you’re going to dotoday is go through what our process is. Evaluate, assess, evaluate, curriculum, supervise, and reevaluate. We take orthopedic data, we make behavioral data, nutritional data, andthen you do an exercise physiology test. And we assess that data, making we look at it then we evaluate it. Then we’ll scheme a programbased off of those research results and the program will have to do with what you’re weakest at. We have two different types of equipment, there are these which arethe residential facilities that we designed, thatpeople in the building get to utilize. Now, they don’t have togo through the entire process, they may justwant to come down and bowl or use the treadmill. Which is fine with us. -[ Steven] Whoa! – Yay! -[ Pat] We think thatactivity is activity. We’re not snobbish aboutwhat the above-mentioned activities is. In here, in this place, you’re all in, so you’re going to do the whole thing today. -[ Steven] Wow.( ding) -[ Pat] So the firstthing we do with anybody who comes in and whatyou’re going through today is an evaluation. And when we say evaluatethat conveys collect data. – Come on in Steven. – So you guys are gonna gothrough different process but just for the matter oftoday because we’ll only have today to do this, we’re gonna focus on you and what you’re going through. – My role in the evaluationis to really find out basic medical information about you.- Let’s do it. – And you’re young and healthyso if you have any problems, I will be surprised. -[ pAT] So the first thing you would do is you would assure our medical team. The intellect we do that firstis to see if there’s any underlying medical issuesthat you need to really take care of before we startdoing an exercise program. – I had a major issue with my IT party, it just like, ever keptstiffening up and hurting to the point where like, I time couldn’t run for like, weeks at a time. -[ Pat] So then after thatyou would see a nutritionist who’s an consecrated dietitiannamed Dawn Poirier.- Give me a day in thelife of eating for you. What is a typical breakfast? – Oh my gosh. Okay, I have to give youcontext, I do a food support for the internet.( Kate laughs) – Okay. – Where I ingest, for an examplewe’d do an occurrence on steak and I’ll eat three steaks in one day. – Wow. -[ Pat] Then you wouldsee our orthopedic unit. You’re going to be seeing Dr. Destefano. – There’s a little limitationin right spin and some of the supportivemusculature of the cervix that goes into the shoulder is tight.-[ Pat] Then you’regoing to sit with some of our behavioral crew. Either a psychologist or a social worker. – Can you delineategoals that you would want to accomplish here? – I don’t know how to workout committed my expedition planned so, figuring out somethingthat works for me and restrains me motivated. – Okay. – I’m always on the road andI eat whatever’s available. Just anything. I’ll eat anything. – That’s hard to time. – Yeah. – Then after that you’regoing to see Paul Knapic he’s one of our employ consultant and he’s the guy that will doall of your concentration testing. – You’re gonna grab this dowel. Now arranged the armsas best as you can. Now you’re gonna perform five deep diddly-squats. – Oh, that’s a late squat. Okay, I thoughts I get it now. -[ Paul] Four more eras. And five. Good, switching legs. You’re going to do yourright arm and left leg and lengthen out, interruption at thetop, come back to the center and then you’re going to alternate. Good. Now let’s move on to thestrength research on the other side. Drive it up. One, two, three, good. I’m gonna fill in yoursheet with your amounts that’s pretty much it. You’re done. – That wasn’t as bad as Ithought it was going to be. – So, now we are afterall the rigamarole , now what you have infront of you is a folder with you in it. – That’s my name, right there. I’ve never seen something written about me that has, you know, thismany pages of things about me and then you got this, my program. – And that’s for the next 12 weeks and there’s a series of aims which are statedby a group of programmes on how we’re going to goabout make those things. – So, you’re doing thisfor every person that walkings into the gym. – Everyone does this process, yes. It’s a program centricmodel, it’s not a trainer centric mannequin, it’s notwhat I feel like doing to you today. It’s what the data says you need to do. – Based on the resultsof that, you will go to a test which is relevant towhat you need to be doing. So, for example I know thatyou moved cross country so passing is something you’ve done before. So we’re going to do again analysis on you today. That’s basically avideotaped assessment of how you actually move. -[ Steven] So you’re goingto physically record us, and we’re going to watch ourselves pass. – Yep. And then we’regoing to take you off that and we’re going to dosome teaches to try and increase your perceptionof how you’re running and what running is.What moves you? – I make my feet and I tread. – This watch doesn’thave a lot of muscles. What only moved it? – Gravity. – Right. In order to move you have to fall. Where’s your heavines? -[ Steven] All on my limbs right here. – On your limbs, that’s it. So, what they’re trying todo is utilize that falling because you’re come very fast. -[ Steven] I do notlike the inspections of this. – Right, you want tobe able to get yourself to the fall positionas opposed to breaking, stopping, propagandizing up, falling down. Quick, quick, immediate. Don’t tilt so much better, stay up, stay up. Other hoof, back to me. Quick, don’t leant them down. Up, up, up, up. That’s it. There “theres going”, do you feel that? – It is like the definitionof hitting your steps. – Yes, excellent.( clapping) Stop. Let’s go, come on back on the treadmill. From there we’re going to come back and look at you again after wedo some drills with you. And see if you picked it up. – This is harder than school. – Yeah, yeah. -[ Pat] That’s it. Straight up. Straight up. I want to see the bottomof your shoe behind. That’s it. Shorten your door. Make more strides and quicker. Okay, take it down.( evaporates) So now we’re in the screeningroom which was originally a bank vault. We have lecturings inhere, we do things like we’re going to do here, we do analysis. – I don’t really like being an on-screen personality, and now I have to watch myself, really.( chortles) – There’s a before andafter which is good so. This is the before. So, tell me what you ascertain. What do you notice? – It feels kind of ponderous. – Yeah, like stiff.- Like heavy operate, yeah. – Okay, let’s do this, let’s review. That’s your center of massrelative to your buoy. -[ Steven] Oh boy. – What direction are you moving in there? – It looks a lot like I’m going backwards there.- Right, so for this to move forward you want to land here. So, you’re arrive ina position where you’re already is progressing. – So, essentially I’mworking twice as hard to go half a distance. – Yes. So now, let’s look atyou when we are drilled. – Ah, ah yeah.- Wow. – You visualize the difference in the position. – Yeah. I never looked at themechanics of my figure before , now that I think aboutit, it’s like something you should be doing before “youre running”. Because then you canmake small settings, small-time revisions. – Yeah. -[ Pat] Okay, when you started landing. See how much effort there is in the territory? You can be found in likewise you’relanding with the end. -[ Kate] Yeah.- Right. – Yeah.- Yeah. -[ Pat] Yeah, that’s better right there. – I see.- Whoa. -[ Pat] To is to be effective with this, you have to be committed to it.What we’re looking for are hurdles. Parties will come inand say, I time want to get rid of this. To me, that’s likewatching a foreign cinema. You know, the subtitle of that says, “I don’t feel very good about myself” Looks do not satisfy you. How “youre feeling” quenches you. What you can do fills you. So we try to focus onwork and focus on process and empower beings and then they do that and they’re like okay nowgive me the pull up bar. Let me run. – I definitely sounds like I’ve been motivated. I feel like a brand-new fresh child. Which gym was the most worthit to you at its premium? – I’m gonna go with, La Palestra Which blows my knowledge becauseI don’t want to be the person to choose the most expensive of something, but I’m a little older than you. So, I gotta think aboutlike how to keep exercising for like, the next 20 years, you know? And not ever exiting super hard.- That’s fair. I adored all the gyms. What can compare to LA AC? Like, It’s massive.- Yeah. -[ Steven] But, I repute I’mgonna go with AC4 Fitness. Because of the quality. It’s such a good deal. -[ Kate] I never thoughtthat I could workout but also be green at the same time. – Alex what’s your worth it winner? -[ Alex] La Palestra. – What?( titters) There’s a thought boy behind the camera. Thank you, I know I forcedyou to do this video, Kate.- I did get forced into this video. – I believed to be did enormous. And I think you are theperfect and the only person, who would’ve made this episode worth it. Aye!( laughs) – Thanks buddy that’s so nice. – Oh , no problem. Can you recognized me actually? -[ Kate] Yeah. -[ Steven] I definitely sounds like I might die. This video is just goingto expose that I am not the strongest person … In the world. I guess that was already evident though. You can just tell ..
