So we’re going tosurprise her at her house so that she can’t say no. Hello! – Hey! – I know you had plans today but I was wondering if you could join me on a Worth It adventure. – I don’t know, I’mpregnant it seems creepy. – We got two co-hosts todayand you have a home gym don’t you? – I do! – Can we start there? – I do like showing it off so yes. – Yeah, let’s go! -[ Kate] I have a rower.( ding) -[ Steven] Whoa. -[ Kate] I have a hop casket. -[ Both] Yay! -[ Kate] I came this nice kettle bell. A pull up bar. -[ Steven] Does your babyworkout with you in now? – Yeah, she likes it. -[ Steven] You’re coming liberty? You’re good to go? – Okay, I guess, yeah. -[ Steven] Alright, there we go Kate. That’s what she does. – I do, I do like that. -[ Steven] I’m not justpunching a pregnant woman.Today on Worth It Lifestyle we’re going to be trying three gyms at three drasticallydifferent toll points to find out which one is themost worth it at its price. – You voiced profesh at that. – That’s actually when you say “Worth It” – Do I say it now? – Well, you can say it now. – Worth it! – Yeah I’ve heard legends of you being pregnant and working out. – Sometimes when I was breastfeeding Flynn I’d wake up a littlebefore five, shoot, work out and then go to work all day. – When you said pump, Ithought you were going to say pump iron. – Oh, two types of pumping. A double spout morning.( both laugh) – I will not be pumpinganything other than weights.( Upbeat music) – My name is Tony Callhoun. We’re at AC4 Fitness. We’re a neighborhood gym. We’ve been doing this for about six years. We focus on taking care ofthat which you’ve been given, whether that applies toyour body and your health or whether it applies to the planet. We try to be a little green. Maybe information like thisflooring or technology like ReRev which is cardio equipment that produces energy. We want to be a leader inthat reference in our industry and you know hopefullyour members can take pride in being a part of that excursion. – I like the relevant recommendations oflike , not only taking care of yourself but thecommunity and countries around the world all at the same time.I’d like to hear more about how the lettuce paraphernalium handiworks. -[ Connor] There’s a lot ofthings that we’ve tried to realise the gym particularly lettuce. The rubber that you’restanding on is made out of recycled information. This devotee that we have is the same as having 36 big fans around the gym. It’s very exertion efficient. The cupboards are made outof recycled fabrics. -[ Steven] Functional, clean, and it’s recycled. What more can you ask for? – Yeah. – I don’t need gold lockers.- I don’t know, you’rekind of a liking chap. – A little bit.( chuckling) – There’s Eco-Waterdownstairs to make sure that you guys don’t have plastic bottles you can reuse your waterbottle every time you come. -[ Kate] Wow. More than5 3 thousand water bottles and this has only been in for 18 months. I do like that they giveit at room temperature because I’m a area temperature person. -[ Steven] Me extremely! – Yeah!( bottle tinkle) – Now that’s high pH. So what is this? What’s going on? – This is a treadmill thatdoesn’t plug into the wall to get power, it plugs intothe wall to give power back to the building. So when you’re on it you’rerunning, you’re actually developing dominance like abig generator and the loop is various kinds of weighted. So it’s a great workout. – Eco-Mill, give power and gain quadruplets. -[ Connor] What we havehere is the ReRev arrangement, when you’re on the ellipticalit’s actually make supremacy. -[ Steven] So are allof these 10 ellipticals growing capability for the building? -[ Connor] Yes. – Let’s try to get it up there. – Ready to get up? – Okay, yeah, let’s max this thing out.( upbeat music) -[ Kate] We did it! We caused a little powerback while we were here. -[ Ian] These are medical position plots. You’re typically going to find these chaps at a chiropractor’s office. They use heated ocean jetsunder the rubber divider here to give you a heated spray massage. – I do like it. -[ Steven] I wonder if you’rebaby is loving it right now.( Kate screams) – Well, you gotta try it. – So I just lie down? -[ Ian] We’re going to goahead and resume that rub. – Oh, whoa, oh, you know what that …( chortles) -[ Laughing) You’re so ticklish. – I don’t know why my as is so ticklish. – Wow. Steven fact!( everyone chortles) – That hydro massager. I don’t know what happened, okay. My body. – You even cause the wholeexperience wash over you. – I don’t know if I would do it again. – That is something I can’tget in my own home gym. – Gym fact! Most gyms sell morememberships than they can actually hold inside the gym. They count on people notshowing up at the gym. – That’s a real glasshalf empty perspective. – Yeah. We’re going back to LosAngeles and we’re going to meet at Downtown LA for a gym called the, Los Angeles Athletic Club. – Sounds reverie. – It is fanciful, how’d you are familiar with?( Upbeat music) – I’m Cory Hathaway, I’m theassistant general manager of Los Angeles Athletic Club. It’s a 12 legend, 125,000 sq foot equipment. Segment of the purpose of theclub when this building was improved was to train Olympic competitors. Our representatives facilitated bringthe 1932 Olympics to LA. – So, what you’re saying isif I get a membership here I can become an olympian as well.- It’ll certainly get you closer. We showcase a good deal of athletics now. Swimming, basketball, squash, racquetball, handball. – If a gym has a basketballcourt, clue me up.( chortles) -[ Cory] We have two puddles. One right above us isactually the first pond built above field westof the Mississippi. -[ Kate] That’s so rareto see gyms that have all this history and backstory. Do beings come here alot really to hang out? Like, it feels like there’sso many things you were able to do. – Some members will joinwith fitness in head and then will maybe get sidetrackedby some of the other storeys.( Smooth music) -[ Steven] Want to play some squash? – Um, I don’t know how, but okay. – I don’t either. – Alright. – Oop.- Wait. Wait, it doesn’t move. -[ Kate] Is this is something that how this ball is?( Upbeat music) Wow! – This is my happy place. This is my favorite part of any gym. -[ Kate] This is a uncommon gym thing. I’ve never seen abasketball law in a gym. Not in Los Angeles -[ Steven] Yeah because there’sjust not enough space in LA. This is crazy, there’sactually area around, there’s padding now forwhen you go in too hard. This is awesome. -[ Kate] Uh-huh.( upbeat music) Wow! -[ Steven] I know, I’m happy.( Intense music) -[ Kate] Oh, it’s counting my reps for me. What! -[ Steven] Whoa, and it, Oh I picture, it tells you how far you go. -[ Kate] What, that’s great. – Want me to do some workbench pulps? – There’s no weights on there. – I know, but it’s still 45 pounds Annie.( Intense music) I’m going to introduce this away.( giggling) – The last-place flooring of athleticsis what we would call more of the relaxationlocker chamber, parlour, spa. – This is very classy. Is this a hot tub? -[ Steven] That’s a whirlpool bath! In the cupboard room. – That’s crazy. -[ Steven] Ooo.- Wow! – Showers. -[ Kate] Guess I’m going tohave a bathtub event. -[ Steven] What, what is this? It’s like a meadow. Is this a sauna? What is this? -[ Kate] I think so. I feel like you could payfor only the cupboard area and actually get your money’s worth. – Yeah.( Laughing) What, “wheres” we? -[ Kate] I feel like Ientered trade secrets civilization.( Smooth music) I probably shouldn’t touchthis trash, it all looks very old. -[ Steven] This is nota locker office anymore, this is your home .( Kate laughs) – I mean, it’s like 10 timesthe size of my home, right. – That’s it for the LA AC. Next place, New York City. – I don’t see how it canget better, I actually don’t. – We induced it to New York! – Oh, how lovely.( both laugh) – Puddles! Rain! We has only just been in the LosAngeles Athletic Club. -[ Kate] Uh huh. – It’s pretty great. – It was a society, so ifyou don’t want to workout there’s a lot of other substance to do. Gym fact! – The parole gymnasium comesfrom the Greek word that literally implies clas for naked workout. – Oh, that’s more excitingthan I thought it was gonna be. You hurl naked in thereand now it’s a party.( Steven giggles) – Alright, so we’re in NewYork because we’re going to the final gym here. It’s called, La Palestra. – That doesn’t sound like a gym at all. – You know how you’repregnant and everything so, – I’m aware. – So I understand thatthere’s like a stress research so I didn’t want to put you through that.So today, Ill be doing that. – Thank you, that’s nice. – You’re welcome!( Classical Music) -[ Pat] Therefore welcomed La Palestra guys. I’m Pat Manocchia, I’m the founder. This residence is our firstfacility opened in 1994 so this will be our 24 th time here. – Wow.- Yeah. – Congrats.- Thanks. When we construct it, there werereally two manufactures right there was the medical industryand the fitness business. And they didn’t really get along so well. We’re both trying to do the same thing, which is take care of beings. And I pictured, I want theseresources in one place. So we built this plaza. What you’re going to dotoday is go through what our process is. Evaluate, assess, recollect, planned, administer, and reevaluate. We make orthopedic data, we make behavioral data, nutritional data, andthen you do an exercise physiology test. And we assess that data, necessitating we look at it then we review it. Then we’ll scheme a programbased off of those research results and the program will have to do with what you’re weakest at. We have two types of equipment, there are these which arethe residential equipment that we designed, thatpeople in the building get to utilize. Now, they don’t have togo through the entire process, they may justwant to come down and container or use the treadmill. Which is fine with us. -[ Steven] Whoa! – Yay! -[ Pat] We think thatactivity is activity. We’re not snobbish aboutwhat the above-mentioned activities is. In now, in this place, you’re all in, so you’re going to do the whole thing today.-[ Steven] Wow.( ding) -[ Pat] So the firstthing we do with anybody who comes in and whatyou’re going through today is an evaluation. And when we say evaluatethat represents collect data. – Come on in Steven. – So you guys are gonna gothrough different treats but just for the matter oftoday because we’ll exclusively have today to do this, we’re gonna focus on you and what you’re going through. – My role in the evaluationis to really catch out basic medical information about you. – Let’s do it. – And you’re young and healthyso if you have any problems, I will be surprised. -[ pAT] So the first thing you would do is you would read our medical team. The reason we do that firstis to see if there’s any underlying medical issuesthat you need to really take care of before we startdoing an exercise program. – I had a major issue with my IT strip, it just like, always keptstiffening up and hurting to the point where like, I exactly couldn’t run for like, weeks at a time. -[ Pat] So then after thatyou would see a nutritionist who’s an anointed dietitiannamed Dawn Poirier. – Give me a period in thelife of eating for you. What is a conventional breakfast? – Oh my gosh. Okay, I have to give youcontext, I do a food demonstrate for the internet.( Kate titters) – Okay. – Where I chew, for an examplewe’d do an incident on steak and I’ll eat three steaks in one day.- Wow. -[ Pat] Then you wouldsee our orthopedic squad. You’re going to be seeing Dr. Destefano. – There’s a little limitationin right rotation and some of the supportivemusculature of the cervix that goes into the shoulder is tighten. -[ Pat] Then you’regoing to sit with some of our behavioral crew. Either a psychologist or a social worker. – Can you delineategoals that you would want to accomplish here? – I don’t know how to workout established my trip planned so, figuring out somethingthat works for me and impedes me caused. – Okay. – I’m always on the road andI eat whatever’s available. Precisely anything. I’ll eat anything. – That’s hard to do. – Yeah. – Then after that you’regoing to see Paul Knapic he’s one of our workout expert and he’s the guy that will doall of your concentration testing.- You’re gonna grab this dowel. Now straighten the armsas best as you are eligible to. Now you’re gonna perform five depth squattings. – Oh, that’s a penetrating diddly-squat. Okay, I visualize I get it now. -[ Paul] Four more ages. And five. Good, switching legs. You’re going to take yourright arm and left leg and increase out, interruption at thetop, come back to the center and then you’re going to alternate. Good. Now let’s move on to thestrength test on the other side. Drive it up. One, two, three, good. I’m gonna fill in yoursheet with your counts that’s pretty much it.You’re done. – That wasn’t as bad as Ithought it was going to be. – So, now we are afterall the rigamarole , now what you have infront of you is a folder with you in it. – That’s my name, right there. I’ve never seen something written about me that has, you know, thismany pages of things about me and then you got this, my program.- And that’s for the next 12 weeks and there’s a series of points which are statedby a unit of approaches on how we’re going to goabout make those things. – So, you’re doing thisfor every person that treads into the gym. – Everyone does this process, yes. It’s a program centricmodel, it’s not a coach centric simulate, it’s notwhat I feel like doing to you today. It’s what the data says you need to do. – Based on the resultsof that, you will go to a test which is relevant towhat you need to be doing. So, for example I know thatyou moved cross country so passing is something you’ve done before. So we’re going to do again analysis on you today. That’s mostly avideotaped assessment of how you actually move. -[ Steven] So you’re goingto physically record us, and we’re going to watch ourselves run.- Yep. And then we’regoing to give you off that and we’re going to dosome drills to try and increase your perceptionof how you’re running and what loping is. What moves you? – I make my feet and I step. – This watch doesn’thave a lot of muscles. What precisely moved it? – Gravity. – Right. In order to move you have to fall.Where’s your value? -[ Steven] All on my weapons right here. – On your weapons, that’s it. So, what they’re trying todo is utilize that descending because you’re precipitate very fast. -[ Steven] I do notlike the gapes of this. – Right, you want tobe able to get yourself to the descending positionas opposed to breaking, stopping, pushing up, falling down. Quick, immediate, speedy. Don’t lean so much, stay up, stay up. Other paw, back to me. Quick, don’t applied them down. Up, up, up, up. That’s it. There “theres going”, do you feel that? – It is like the definitionof affecting your strides.- Yes, excellent.( applauding) Stop. Let’s go, come on back on the treadmill. From there we’re going to come back and look at you again after wedo some teaches with you. And see if you picked it up. – This is harder than school. – Yeah, yeah. -[ Pat] That’s it. Straight up. Straight up. I want to see the bottomof your shoe behind. That’s it. Shorten your barrier. Make more strides and quicker. Okay, take it down.( exhales) So now we’re in the screeningroom which was initially a bank vault. We have chides inhere, we do things like we’re going to doing in there, we do analysis. – I don’t really like being an on-screen personality, and now I have to watch myself, really.( mocks) – There’s a before andafter which is good so. This is the before. So, tell me what you receive. What do you notice? – It feels various kinds of heavy.- Yeah, like stiff.- Like heavy guide, yeah. – Okay, let’s do this, let’s gape. That’s your center of massrelative to your substantiate. -[ Steven] Oh humankind. – What direction are you moving in there? – It was like I’m going backwards there. – Right, so for this to move forward you want to acre now. So, you’re ground ina position where you’re already is progressing. – So, basically I’mworking twice as hard to go half a distance. – Yes. So now, let’s look atyou when we are trained. – Ah, ah yeah.- Wow. – You construe significant differences in the position. – Yeah. I never looked at themechanics of my figure before , now that I think aboutit, it’s like something you should be doing before “youre running”. Because then you canmake small settings, big adjustments. – Yeah. -[ Pat] Okay, when you started landing. See how much effort there is in the region? You can be found in likewise you’relanding with the heel.-[ Kate] Yeah.- Right. – Yeah.- Yeah. -[ Pat] Yeah, that’s better right there. – I see.- Whoa. -[ Pat] To be successful with this, you have to be committed to it. What we’re looking for are impediments. Parties will come inand say, I precisely want to get rid of this. To me, that’s likewatching a foreign film. You know, the subtitle of that says, “I don’t feel very good about myself” Looks do not satisfy you. How you feel satisfies you. What you can do slakes you. So we try to focus onwork and focus on process and empower beings and then they do that and they’re like okay nowgive me the pull up bar. Let me exit. – I definitely sounds like I’ve been caused. I feel like a new fresh newborn. Which gym was the most worthit to you at its cost? – I’m gonna go with, La Palestra Which blows my imagination becauseI don’t want to be the person to choose the most expensive of something, but I’m a little older than you.So, I gotta think aboutlike how to keep exercising for like, the next 20 times, you are familiar with? And not ever extending super hard-bitten. – That’s fair. I enjoyed all the gyms. What can compare to LA AC? Like, It’s massive.- Yeah. -[ Steven] But, I consider I’mgonna go with AC4 Fitness. Because of the evaluate. It’s such a great deal. -[ Kate] I never thoughtthat I could workout but also be green at the same time. – Alex what’s your worth it winner? -[ Alex] La Palestra. – What?( roars) There’s a thought boy behind the camera. Thank you, I know I forcedyou to do this video, Kate. – I did get forced into this video.- I think you did immense. And I think you are theperfect and the only person, who would’ve made this episode worth it. Aye!( mocks) – Thanks buddy that’s so nice. – Oh , no problem. Can you recognized me actually? -[ Kate] Yeah. -[ Steven] I definitely sounds like I might die. This video is just goingto expose that I am not the strongest person … In the world. I guess that was already evident though. You can just tell ..
